The SOLA wall shelf, launched at the Habitare furniture fair in Helsinki 2019, is the latest addition to the collection of the Finnish furniture brand MUOTO2. It is designed by the promising young designer Hanna Särökaari and produced at MUOTO2’s own factory in Lahti, Finland.
Sola is a minimalistic wall shelf that functions well as a single piece or as a set of shelves. The design of the wall bracket gives a light and airy impression and allows the installation of several shelves on top of each other. Thanks to its simple and elegant form language, Sola is highly suitable for both homes and public spaces.
“The starting point of Sola was to create a simple but versatile shelf design that is scalable according to your needs”, says designer Hanna Särökaari.
Hanna sheds light on the choice of the name Sola by quoting a Finnish dictionary:
sola – a narrow pass, corridor or other space usually bordered by walls or similar structures.
The Sola wall shelf is available in black or white.
